An immigrant from the Dominican Republic, Nicomedes E. Suriel, Esq. has decades-long professional & personal experience with US immigration law. Starting in New York City in 1969 when he attended many immigration lawyer's offices with his dad and his twenty-odd tailors as their interpreters. To winning a scholarship to attend Rutgers University to study US Immigration law in 1978, continued with his Green Card conference in 1981, and then to his USA Naturalization in San Luis Obispo, CA in 1987. He received his Juris Doctorate at the University of Arizona. he won his first immigration case before famed US Immigration Judge John W. Richardson in September 1992, his career has included many, many highlights. From arguing a seminal case before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in September 2003 to filing for a Writ of Certiorari to the US Supreme Court in 2007 to winning many “impossible” cases, he considers each case carefully and methodically. In 2011 he was recognized as one of the Top 25 immigration lawyers in the USA. In 2012 the AZ Bar Association recognized him with a Lifetime Achievement award. He has held many high-placed and elected positions advising Arizona Governor Hull & Napolitano, Attorney Generals Grant Woods and Janet Napolitano, and leading many panels throughout the USA on US immigration law and policy. Attorney Suriel has been featured on FOX (Arizona) Newsmaker Sunday immediately after Arizona's Controversial Senate Bill 1070 was blocked by Judge Susan Bolton. He has also been featured on USA Today, MSNBC, NPR (Radio and TV), French TV, and numerous other media outlets.

Kate Regier is the Firm’s associate attorney. She received her B.A. degree in English at Creighton University in 2012, and her J.D. at ASU Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2015. She has been with The Law Offices of Nicomedes E. Suriel since 2015 practicing exclusively immigration law. Kate’s areas of expertise include family- based petitions, asylum, legal briefs, appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals and U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals, representation at USCIS, and employment- based cases. She is a member of AILA.
Vickie has over 7 years of experience in the areas of immigration law. she is our firm's senior paralegal/case manager, and assists our Attorneys on family-based, adjustment of status, and naturalization cases. she meets with clients one on one and speaks to them regularly throughout their cases. She is bilingual and one of our firm's greatest assets.
Lilia has been working for the Firm for 5 years. She is the head of our billing department. With her personal immigration experience, she is able to relate to our clients and their desire for a future here in the United States. She is bilingual in Spanish and English.
